IST 217 - Information Systems Theory and Practice (3)

Provides an introduction to the field of information systems and an understanding of the decision process. Students will learn how information is used by organizations for decision support using tools and techniques involving business intelligence, data analytics, and machine learning. Students will develop an understanding of decision theory and practice essential for providing viable information to the organization, be able to identify various types of modern information systems used for decision support, and will learn and practice modern information systems used for decision support.
