- Students seeking certification for teaching in social science must complete the following:
- HIS 105, 106, 205, 206, 220, 307, 321 (or 302), 496
- Two additional elective courses in history with at least one course from each of the areas of:
- American: HIS 302, 305, 306, 312, 320, 321, 329, 337, 352
- European: HIS 317, 318, 335, 341, 348, 350
- non-Western: HIS 302, 304, 326, 338, 342
- ECO 203 and 204, GEG 112 and 301, PSI 101 or 105, PSY 117, ANT 308, SOC 109.
- Three additional credits in each of the following areas: political science, psychology and sociology.
- SSI 322, 323, 324, 325.
- All requirements listed for Secondary Education.
NOTE: Students who have completed the Social Science Teaching Major have also completed the History Major.
