EDU 630 - Methods for Teaching Math in Elementary School I (3) A methods course with the central focus on methodologies in teaching mathematics and the use of manipulatives within the content of mathematics that is developmentally appropriate for the elementary (including early childhood K-3) grade setting. Students use problem solving as an approach to learn mathematics, identify curricular sequences within common instructional topics, and plan appropriate learning activities and evaluation procedures.
