ENT 301 - Creating a New Venture (3)Prerequisite(s): ENT 201 or permission In this course, students will learn how to launch a successful venture. Students will recognize the unique characteristics of a successful entrepreneur and how ideas for a business opportunity are identified, analyzed, and cultivated. They will understand the needs of the market, how to evaluate business opportunities, assess required resources, and manage the growth and scale of a venture. Students will also learn about venture capitalists, financing stages, and different entry and growth modes such as franchising, acquisition, and licensing. By the end of the term, students will be able to conceptualize, develop, and write a business plan that is ready to pitch to potential investors.
