EDS 620 - Exceptional Children (3) This course introduces students to the foundations of special education, with a focus on inclusive practices and the critical relationship between special education and general education. Students will explore the historical evolution of special education, examine federal and state laws impacting individuals with disabilities, and gain insight into the roles and responsibilities of special and general educators. The course provides a comprehensive overview of the MTSS process for creating responsive, supportive learning environments, while emphasizing collaboration with colleagues to meet diverse learner needs.
