AIL 430 - AI Ethics (3) This course will introduce students to the ethical theories and legal frameworks that govern the deployment and use of artificial intelligence in professional settings. Students will examine the substantial ethical risks that AI poses to businesses, individuals, and society, exploring critical topics including algorithmic bias, data privacy, transparency, and governance. They will evaluate real cases that demonstrate the consequences of ethical failures in AI systems and learn to apply ethical standards and legal requirements to AI deployment decisions. Students will also develop the critical judgment needed to use AI tools responsibly, ensuring that technological advancement serves human values and promotes equity.
