Requirements for the Middle School Endorsement:

Special Area Requirements:

Students shall demonstrate competence in ONE area of specialization with a minimum of 24 semester hours.

Complete all courses in one area from the following:

Social Studies:

GEG 301 - Social-Cultural Geography (3)
HIS 105 - History of Civilization I (3)
HIS 106 - History of Civilization II (3)
HIS 205 - History of the United States I (3)
HIS 206 - History of the United States II (3)
HIS 220 - Introduction to Historical Methods (3)
HIS 302 - Native American History (3) or
HIS 321 - American Race Relations (3)
HIS 307 - Nebraska History (3) or
HIS 352 - American West (3)
(HIS 320 -American Environmental History may be substituted for the HIS 307 or HIS 352 choices above.)
Take one World History Elective
HIS 302 , HIS 304 , HIS 326 , HIS 342 or HIS 353 . (HIS 302 may only be used to satisfy this requirement if it is not listed above.)
