Project Management


Offered Online to Non-Residential students.

If you are driven by leading projects, coordinating complex initiatives, and delivering results on time and within budget, project management is for you. As a project management major, you will develop the leadership expertise, strategic planning skills, and communication abilities that today’s employers demand. With the B.A. in Project Management, you will master project fundamentals, predictive planning, risk management, agile methodologies, and full-cycle project execution while learning to present your insights with clarity and confidence. From project monitoring and control to strategic decision-making, you will build a versatile skillset that prepares you to lead successful projects in any environment. You will strengthen your organizational reasoning, sharpen your decision-making abilities, and learn to balance project analysis with values-based discernment.

Students who complete the B.A. in Project Management will be able to: 

  1. Exhibit general knowledge of theories and practices in the core areas of business.
  2. Critically analyze and apply knowledge across business disciplines to solve complex situations. 
  3. Demonstrate effective professional communication skills.
  4. Collaborate effectively in teams.
  5. Develop decisions informed by ethical values.
  6. Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of project management knowledge. 
  7. Execute a comprehensive project applying project management concepts.

Accreditation

Doane’s Bachelor’s degree program in Project Management is currently not accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). New degree programs must be in effect for at least two years and have had graduates before accreditation will be granted.
