Reading and Writing Endorsement

The reading and writing endorsement is a supplemental endorsement. It must be added to an existing endorsement. The reading and writing endorsement requires a minimum of 21 semester hours. This endorsement is only offered at the graduate level. Students wishing to complete the PK-6 and 7-12 endorsements must take all coursework in both PK-6 and 7-12, including two field experiences: one at the PK-6 level and one at the 7-12 level.
