ACC 411 - Systems/Applied Accounting (3)

Prerequisite: ACC 232 with a C- or higher, or permission.

This course is a study of the fundamentals of the accounting information system and how it functions in the organization. Upon complete of this course, students will be able to:

Explain the purpose and importance of an accounting information system.
Identify and illustrate the collection and processing of accounting data in an accounting information system.
Describe why information technology is important to accounting and auditing.
Perform basic business processes using an accounting software package.
