ACC 411 - Systems/Applied Accounting (3)Prerequisite: ACC 232 with a C- or higher, or permission. This course is a study of the fundamentals of the accounting information system and how it functions in the organization. Upon complete of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain the purpose and importance of an accounting information system.
- Identify and illustrate the collection and processing of accounting data in an accounting information system.
- Describe why information technology is important to accounting and auditing.
- Perform basic business processes using an accounting software package.
