ACC 232 - Intermediate Accounting II (3)Prerequisite: ACC 231 with a C- or higher, or permission. A continuation of the study of accounting theory and procedure resulting in the preparation of financial statements of corporations. This course will focus on the liability and equity accounts of a corporation, including current liabilities, bonds payable, leases, stock options, dividends and share buybacks. In addition, accounting for income taxes and earnings per share will be examined, along with the cash flow statements. Upon completion of these courses, students will be able to:
- Record, classify, compute and present current and long-term liabilities
- Record, classify, compute and present transactions related to equity, such as stock options, dividends and treasury stock
- Organize data to construct a Cash Flow Statement
- Compute earnings per share amounts
