POV 496 - Policy and Values Capstone Experience (3)

Prerequisite(s): Junior or senior standing and permission

A major experiential learning opportunity that challenges students to use the material they have learned in the course of their major and apply it in the “real world.” Students will also write a final paper reflecting on their experience and connecting it to the theory they have learned in the classroom. Students will work with Policy and Values faculty prior to enrollment to find an opportunity appropriate to their talents and chosen concentration. Upon successful completion of the course, students will demonstrate an understanding of how theory relates to practice in the area of policy and values.
