**for transfer students - take 221 & 321 concurrently, not 321 & 341
Note: LAR 303 is covered in the EDU 321 and EDU 3411 courses and labs. Students do not need to enroll in any LAR 303 course if they are music education majors.
Additional requirements:
- A total of 8 credits of applied lessons, including those listed above (6 credits in a primary performing medium and 2 credits in a secondary).
- Participation each term in one or more of the major performing ensembles (MUS 190, 191, 192, 195) for a maximum of four credits.
- Two additional elective credits in Music
- All requirements listed under the catalog section Secondary Education.
- MUS 217
New Student Ensemble Registration:
- All Vocal Students: All first year and transfer students should be preregistered for MUS 192 - Collegiate Chorale.
- All Band Students: All first year and transfer students should be registered in MUS 190 - Concert Band and/or ATV 106 - Pep Band.
- All String Players: should be registered for MUS 196.
- Band and choir students will have the opportunity to audition for the top ensembles the first day of classes in August. Schedules will be modified after that if needed.
- New First Year lesson registration numbers:
111A - piano, 111B - voice, 111C - instrumental (woods, brass & percussion)
