Additional requirements:

Minimum of 35 Psy credits. Core requirements are listed above. Additional Psy electives are required to meet minimum of 35 Psy credits. Additional Psy courses are found in the course catalog. Students should consult with psychology faculty to determine which psychology elective courses are needed to pursue the area/field of psychology they may wish to pursue. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

*Students may take Psy 255, 256 OR 259. Psychology faculty will help students determine which course is most appropriate for their needs and interest. Psy 255 is generally offered every spring; Psy 256 is generally offered spring odd semesters and Psy 259 is generally offered every fall.

*Students must take either Psy 234 OR Psy 365. Psy 234 is generally offered every fall. Psy 365 is generally offered spring even semesters.

*Psy 252 and SSi 217 are generally offered every semester.  SSi 217 is a prerequisite or corequisite for Psy 252.

*Psy 416 is generally offered every semester.

*Psy 396 and Psy 496 are generally offered every semester. Psy 396 must be taken in the semester immediately preceding Psy 496. Students must consult with Psychology faculty regarding which Psy 396/Psy 496 sequence and section is appropriate for their needs.

*SSi 217 is generally offered every semester.

*Psy 336 is generally offered every spring.

*Psy 314 is generally offered fall even semesters. Psy 344 is generally offered spring even semesters.

*Psy 396 must be taken the semester directly preceding Psy 496. Students will either take Psy 396 in spring of year 3 and Psy 496 in fall of year 4 ORPsy 396 in fall of year 4 and Psy 496 in spring of year 4. Students MUST consult with psychology faculty to determine which Psy 396/Psy 496 section is most appropriate for their needs and plans.

*Psy 416 is generally offered every semester

 

Note: Students with plans to graduate in less than 4 years (due to transfer credits etc) or who plan to study abroad should notify their psychology advisor as early as possible to ensure that appropriate course sequencing is planned.
