EGR 418 - Manufacturing and Process Engineering (3)Prerequisite(s): EGR 210 , PHY 310 Manufacturing involves a multifaceted approach to design, including the design of components, development and integration of machinery, quality assurance, and chemical and material processes. Modern manufacturing processes, such as additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping, and CNC machining, are also included. Lean principles of manufacturing are discussed. Students learn about process engineering and optimization of the stages of manufacturing. Completion of this course provides students with a holistic understanding of the manufacturing process.
